Composite panels belong to the generation of technologically advanced products with unique characteristics, facilitating creative architectural designing. They are produced in various lively colours, and therefore contribute to sophisticated and elegant appearance of buildings and structures. ALUBOND is perfect, both for interior and exterior, primarily due to its designing possibilities. It is used in construction of new and reconstruction of existing buildings. It has a technologically revolutional and new composition: this material is impeccably flat, firm, thin and durable. It has good insulation efficiency and can be processed into various forms.

ALUBOND consists of double-sided aluminium sheets, with nontoxic polyethylene (PE) core, integrated in the process of permanent co-extrusion. This material is produced in maximum 8 layers, and because of that it is distinguished among other products of the same type. Top quality and exceptional durability of sheets are guaranteed. Panels are coated with PVDF Kynar 500 fluorocarbon film on the exterior, very resistant to weather impact and UV rays.


Application

Innovative design and unique characteristics allow wide application of ALUBOND in coating of facades, a process that requires application of durable, resistant materials suitable for processing. This material is used in modern architecture and construction. Also, its usage value is highlighted when creating designs for interior of commercial, public and sales unit. ALUBOND is also used in production of advertising billboards, fair stands, bus stops, traffic signalling, in vehicle superstructures, production of machines, in shopping malls, banks, hotels, exhibition centres, industrial structures, supermarkets, passenger terminals, gas stations, tunnels and similar.

Thickness of ALUBOND panels ranges from 2 mm to 6 mm, compared to other panels used for facade coating, with standard thickness of 3 mm and 4 mm. Dimensions of panels are various, as follows:

  • Width: 1000 mm, 1250 mm and 1500 mm
  • Length: from 2000 mm to 5000 mm

Panels are produced in various shades of a wide range of colours, namely: Metallic, Solid, Granite, Veneer and Arctic Ice. However, panels in Metallic shade are most often used.

Another advantage in application of ALUBOND panels is the possibility of replacing PE core with special waterproof material, for special purpose buildings.

As we have mentioned, ALUBOND is very applicable in construction, primarily due to its low weight. Panels with thickness of 3 mm weigh 4.55 kg/m2, while panels that are 4 mm thick weigh only 5.48 kg/m2. ALUBOND can entirely replace stone and ceramic facade coatings, primarily due to its firmness, rigidness and exceptionally flat surface. One of many advantages of ALUBOND coatings compared to heavy traditional facades is their modern “high-tech” appearance, owing to shades of metallic colour. They can also be used in reconstruction and covering of existing buildings, primarily due to their low thickness. ALUBOND is characterised by high sound insulation and absorption of vibrations: 4 mm thick panel reduces noise by even 26 dB. Material dilatation is low, about 1 mm/m in temperature difference of 50°C. The mentioned characteristics make this material preferable for coating in construction zones which are exposed to daily traffic and industrial noise. ALUBOND is also applied for coating machines and parts of industrial plants.


Advantages in use

Simplicity and easy processing differentiate ALUBOND among the abundance of other coating materials. They are very flexible and suitable for cutting, bending and connecting into cassettes with various dimensions and shapes, according to the requirements of the building for which they are intended. ALUBOND has taken supremacy over traditional panel materials that had dominated so far, primarily due to low weight (ALUBOND is 1.6 times lighter than aluminium, and 3.4 times than steel).

It can be processed in various manners: by cutting, carving gutters, drilling, punching, engraving, curved bending, angle bending, as well as application of various tools for mechanical processing.
Processing systems are various and are selected in accordance with the form, material and needs of the building. With proper selection of processing system and an efficient raster, contractors are guaranteed to have easy and fast installation, with minimum costs on the building itself.
